When the Aaronic priest humbly lowered himself to crawl beneath the first veil, he was making a symbolic gesture of honor unto the government of God. This same attitude of honor and reverence resonates in the heart of each seeker who desires to enter the Holy Place today. One does not enter the Holy Place through self-will. Rather, one who offers a humble attitude is invited by the Spirit to enter in. “The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility” (Proverbs 15:33).
